October 21, 2017–February 25, 2018
Duane Linklater and I will present Determined by the river at the opening exhibition of the Remai Modern in Saskatoon, Field Guide.
From the e-flux story:
"Works from the permanent collection are placed in dialogue with contemporary projects, commissioned pieces and immersive installations.
Several major projects anchor the exhibition, and propose new social, personal and political engagements with the museum and its audiences. Determined by the river, a collaborative installation and discursive event by Tanya Lukin Linklater and Duane Linklater, assembles a physical and conceptual vessel to carry or hold Indigenous ideas, histories, objects and forms."
Duane Linklater and I will exhibit Indigenous art works from the permanent collection of the Remai Modern alongside modest works by us within a structural installation. The discursive event will include conversations wtih Joi Arcand, Billy-Ray Belcourt, Lori Blondeau, Ruth Cuthand, Tasha Hubbard, Elwood Jimmy, and Erica Violet Lee. It will take place on November 3-4, 2017.
